Police Day Celebration and Good Shepherd Sunday
Two hundred police personnels from Penang Christian PDRM joined parishioners at mass in conjunction with the 216th Police Day which fell on April 25, 2023. Led by DSP Donny ak John Jubang, the police personnel are from five districts in Penang. They animated the mass and presented parish priest Father Joachim Robert with fruits and flower basket and commemorative plaque.
It is also Good Shepherd Sunday and the World Day of Prayer for Vocation. In his homily, Fr Joachim reminded, “We need to pray with discernment and understanding and allow the Lord to lead us. Vocation is a gift and grace.”
Parishioners joined the priest to pray for blessings upon the police who sacrifice themselves daily to care for the community, promote peace and uphold public welfare. Praise God, trust in God’s Providence and maintain harmony and Perseverance are the 3Ps as a take home message for everyone from the mass.
