Presenting the Presider and Preacher for the Parish Feast Triduum Mandarin Mass: Fr. Philip Tay, OCD.
The Triduum Masses are on 15, 16 and 17 May 2024, starting with the Novena to the Holy Spirit at 8 p.m.
Fr. Philip Tay, OCD, hails from Malacca and attended St Francis Institution for both his primary and secondary education. After his SPM, he furthered his studies in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at Tunku Abdul Rahman College, Kuala Lumpur. During his campus life, he was actively involved in the Catholic Students Society as well as the youth movement in his parish. He joined the Carmelite Order in 2013 and had his formation in Singapore, Taiwan and Australia. He was ordained a Deacon in Australia in 2019 and was ordained a priest on August 6, 2020 at the Church of St Francis Xavier, Petaling Jaya. He is currently based in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan.
Fr Philip’s Pentecost message to us:
“Many people see the Solemnity of Pentecost as an outpouring of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, which is not wrong. However, to only focus on this aspect is very superficial. We must never forget the One, who gives us these gifts. The Holy Spirit cannot and must not be seen outside the Trinity, and we need to always aspire to Him, who sanctifies and unites us. Let us continually pray for the gift of this sanctifying unity.”
介绍华文三日敬礼弥撒的主祭嘉宾神父：郑国豪神父（嘉尔默罗圣衣会）。
华文三日敬礼弥撒日期为2024年5月15日、16日 及17日晚上8点，以圣神敬礼开始。
来自马六甲的郑国豪神父、 是一位嘉尓默罗圣衣会的会士。
在 St. Francis Institution 接受小学和中学教育。 SPM 会考后、他在吉隆坡拉曼学院継续深造機械和制造工程。 在校园生活中、他积扱参与天主教学生会以及堂区的青年活动。 他于 2013 年加入嘉尔默罗会、并在新加坡, 台湾和澳洲修道。 他于 2019 年在澳洲被任命为执事、并于 2020 年 8 月 6 日在八打灵再也圣方济堂被祝圣为神父。 郑神父目前驻留于森美兰芙蓉会院。
郑国豪神父给予我们圣神降临节的寄语:
“许多人将五旬节的庄严视为圣神恩赐的洗灌, 这并没有错。 然而、仅仅关注这一方面是非常肤浅的。 我们决不能忘记赐予我们这些恩赐的那一位。 圣神不能也不应该在三位一体之外被看见、我们需要始终注视祂、祂使我们成圣与合一。 让我们继续祈求这种神圣合一的恩赐。”
