John 18:1-19:42
圣若望福音 18:1-19:42
This is Jesus, my God who has sacrificed himself out of His love for me. In this particular verse, Jesus was slapped by one of the officers when he was questioned by the high priest. It is true, Jesus was a perfect and sinless man who had done no wrong, but yet he was beaten, scourged, and crucified. And He has done that for me, despite his suffering, he still died for me, despite his pain, he still chose to forgive me. As I sat on this thought—for God so loved the world that he gave his only son, so that whoever believes in Him shall have eternal life (John 3:16). I realised that I am a sinner who does not deserve salvation, yet Jesus, out of His love, sacrificed Himself for me. We must question ourselves, how can I recognise Jesus’ unconditional love and share it to those around me? How can I replicate this act of sacrificial love to serve those around me, especially those who do not know Christ?
Let’s spend some time in prayer and recognise what our God has done for us, despite what we have done to Him.
这是耶稣，我的救主，祂为了爱我牺牲了自己的性命。在福音中，耶稣答复大司祭后，侍立在旁的一个差役，就给了耶稣一个耳光。确实，耶稣是一个完美无瑕及毫无罪污的人，从不违法，但是却被殴打、受鞭笞及被钉死在十字架上。祂为我做到了这一点，尽管他遭受苦难，他仍然为我而死，尽管他痛苦，他仍然选择原谅我。当我坐下来思考 — 天主竟这样爱了世界，甚至赐下了自己的独生子，使凡信他的人不至丧亡，反而获得永生（若3:16）。我了解到，我是罪人，不配获得救赎，但耶稣却因祂的慈爱为我牺牲了自己的性命。扪心自问，我要如何认出耶稣那无条件的爱及分享给周遭的人呢？我怎样才能培养这无私奉献的爱，以服侍我周围的人，尤其是那些还不认识基督的人呢？
让我们静默祈祷，“主，祢藉着这段福音要告诉我什么信息你呢？”我们打开心门聆听并接受主的声音，让主的话语改变我们的心。
