In today’s Gospel reading, Jesus reminds me that whenever I come before Him, I must do so with humility, acknowledging my own sinfulness. I am called not to be like the Pharisee who exalts himself through words and actions, but instead, to be justified in Christ by embracing a humble heart—recognizing that I am not perfect and that I need God’s grace. Just as Jesus humbled Himself by taking the form of a servant, I, too, must strive to imitate Him in my daily life so that I may grow in holiness. This means practicing humility in my thoughts, words, and actions, longing for God’s mercy, and constantly surrendering my weaknesses to Him. Until my final breath, I want to live in this posture of humility, trusting that in the end, Christ will lift me up to be with Him forever. Amen.
Take a moment in prayer to ask the Lord: ‘What are You revealing to me through this Gospel?’ Be open to His voice and allow His Word to transform your heart.
